During June and July 2025, the city of Jirkov completed a major expansion of its controlled public lighting network. Qelpro supplied and installed 1,500 luminaires with LoRa wireless controllers — all now managed on the Logimic platform alongside the city's existing lighting infrastructure.
About Jirkov
Jirkov lies at the foot of the Ore Mountains in the Ústí nad Labem Region, Chomutov district. The town has around 19,000 residents and includes several local districts. Public lighting modernisation has been supported through the National Recovery Plan, with two project stages replacing hundreds of luminaires in 2024–2025.
What was installed
Qelpro, a manufacturer and integrator of public lighting, delivered its own LED luminaires equipped with LoRa communicators for wireless control and monitoring. The Logimic platform provides central oversight of the entire network — status monitoring, remote control and automatic fault reporting.
- 1,500 controlled luminaires on one platform
- LoRa wireless communication on the new installation
- map overview, status monitoring and fault alerts
- continued operation of the legacy IQRF-based system in parallel
One dashboard, multiple technologies
Jirkov demonstrates a key strength of the Logimic platform: different communication technologies running side by side. The city continues to operate its older IQRF-based lighting control while the new LoRa luminaires are connected to the same platform. Operators work from a single interface and one dashboard — the platform translates both worlds into a common operational view.
