The city of Chodov in the Sokolov district has completed a major public lighting modernisation that ran from November 2025 through spring 2026. The Logimic platform now connects and manages 1,600 luminaires — one of the largest municipal lighting networks in our portfolio.
About Chodov
Chodov lies in the Karlovy Vary Region in the Sokolov basin, close to the Ore Mountains. The town has a rich industrial heritage linked to mining and porcelain production and is home to around 9,000 residents. Public spaces, housing estates, streets and the city park form an extensive lighting network that benefits from reliable central oversight.
What was installed
The installation was carried out by Kvalpro, which supplied its own LED luminaires equipped with LoRa controllers for wireless control and monitoring. Each luminaire is connected to the Logimic system, giving technical services a single overview of the entire network.
- 1,600 luminaires in one system
- LoRa wireless communication at individual lights
- map overview, status monitoring and remote control
- support for multiple device types — no lock-in to a single luminaire manufacturer
What the Logimic platform delivers
The public lighting operator can monitor luminaire status, respond to faults earlier and manage the lighting network more efficiently. The system is also ready for gradual connection of additional municipal devices or sensors.
