Závišice is a municipality in the Nový Jičín District of the Moravian-Silesian Region, located approximately 3 km northwest of Kopřivnice. The village lies in the foothills of the Moravian Beskids, along both sides of the Sedlnička River, within the Natural Park of Podbeskydí. With a population of about 1,130 residents, Závišice boasts a rich history dating back to its first written mention in 1354. A prominent feature of the village is the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, consecrated in 1935. Nature enthusiasts can enjoy the Educational Trail around Závišice, which includes the JUDr. Václav Hyvnar viewpoint, offering a romantic view of the Štramberk Trúba and its surroundings.
